‘Born Again’ Means Operating Through a New Consciousness

What is Born Again?

I used to wonder what ‘Born Again’ meant for a long time.  I thought it referred to being a new member of the Christian community.  I thought when you start believing in the resurrection of Jesus and that your sins were forgiven because of this his resurrection you were born again.  

But how could just believing that make you born again?  

It wasn’t till I got into the study of metaphysics and how it interrelates consciousness with expression and the teachings of Thomas Troward did I learn what it means. 

The term implicitly means there is newness of many aspects of mind.  There must be a clean slate over how you think and believe if you are starting over in mentality.  Mentality is the only aspect of life under the direct control of man for which he can be different and make his circumstances different. 

The purpose of being born again has to have a impact of life if it is to be something of noteworthiness.  Something has to change for the better.  You can’t be a child again physically and if you could how would that make your life better?  

Born Again must be a newness of outlook and perspective on life.  The way you think about life is reborn.

A New Mentality is a New Life

I think it means you have to maintain a “Christ” or elevated/good mental outlook.  This state of mind is the work of the practitioner.  It has to be consciously held in mind in order to cause the lawful expression.  

You cannot think like you used to if you are going to be like Jesus.  This is what Jesus was teaching.  A new mentality cause a new life.  

You have to know what you inherit through our connected consciousness with God.  

Understanding this creative inheritance is the powerful way our mentality causes us to live a new life.  It opens us up to accepting more good for/as/through our expression.   

The truth in the statement “As a man thinkers so is he” lead me to the truth about being born again.  Once you take on a elevated way of thinking you consequently cause the expression a new life creatively.  You’re creating a different life from a new mind.  A new mind equals a new life.
