When you knew hip-hop moved to the south.

CURRENT REFLECTION

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

A thought from the evolving Philosophy of Elevation — written to be tested, challenged, discussed, and made useful.

The love was not there from the originators.  There was no love from NY.  That may be why it moved to the south, but that don’t mean it was elevated.

The beats were different.  The flows and slang were different. For a second, I hoped the mentality would be different. However, outside of Goodie Mob and OutKast, it was still the same, maybe even more ghetto.

Can you take the ghetto out of hip-hop?

Hip-hop can only be elevated by a different mentality.

What if Biggie and Puff thought more like OutKast?
